Creating Waves of Awareness

My patient is 23 years old and works in a young, densely populated area of the city. He woke up feeling sick this morning. Took symptom picture at 8:15 am.
-tonsils hurting, more on left side
-eyes heavy
-very light headed
-aches in shoulders
-congested in nose
-not thirsty at all
-wanted to know if it was "The Swine Flu"
-wanted to go to the hospital to get checked out, in case it might be the Swine Flu

I convinced him that his being my son, and my concern for him, and his life, far outweighs any ego I might have as a homeopath, and that I would not endanger him in any way...whew!

Gelsemium 200
Ferrum phos 6x - every hour for the morning

Prologue and Analysis:
Patient fell asleep after 1 hour of taking the remedy.
He woke up 2 hours later, went out to the video store to rent some videos, got a coffee, and then came home to watch them. Hey, he's 23!

Well, what kind of flu is it, anyway? Sudden onset. He's definitely in the right age group.
Will I ever know? Do I care? I would not let it go to see what the symptom picture progressed to, to even dare and find out. I'll bet, my friends, that that would be the case for all of us treating flu symptoms right now. Anyway, as is typical with homeopathic treatment, it works fast, and that's all that counts!!

That's great Stephanie - only 2 days!! Kudos to you! There is a lot of nasty stuff going around.

The first Flu clinics opened up in Toronto yesterday and all the news channels were showing footage of huge line ups and "mayhem". This is a day after a healthy 13 year old died from the H1N1 virus. We are so fortunate to practice this system of medicine. Although I know that, just like me, others are also afraid - at least we have an arsenal of effective medicines.

I've just had a cold too! Ticked many of the Swine Flu boxes but I called it "bone-flu"! It felt like the virus was attacking my bones - very Syphilitic - so I chose Merc (lots of bleary eye Sx). I had Eupatorium on standby but it didn't get that bad. Two days of abject misery. Phew!

great work Marilyn, in line with what we always do - we treat people not disease names ! i'm happy for the outcome.
best, claudia

Hi Marilyn ~ Glad he was willing to give the remedies a try. Sounds like he recovered quickly, even with the coffee. Good job!
