THEME of the Convention: “INTEGRATING HOMOEOPATHY IN HEALTH CARE”

As World Health Organisation(WHO) Traditional Medicine Strategy 2014-23 states that universal health coverage (UHC) is only possible by integrating Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) services that  includes Homeopathy into the health care delivery. The purpose is to ensure that every individual has access to promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health services of effective quality at an affordable cost to achieve the “highest attainable standard of health” outlined in WHO’s Constitution and in the concept of Health for All.

Homoeopathy today is a rapidly growing system and is being practiced almost all over the world. In India it has become a household name due the safety of its pills and gentleness of its cure. It is more than a century and a half now that Homoeopathy is being practiced in India. It has blended so well into the roots and traditions of the country that it has been recognized as one of the National System of Medicine and plays a very important role in providing health care to a large number of people. Its strength lies in its evident effectiveness as it takes a holistic approach towards the sick individual through promotion of inner balance at mental, emotional, spiritual and physical levels. Beside India Homoeopathy has been included into National Health policies in various countries including Sri Lanka, Great Britain, Pakistan, Bangladesh and recently Swiss Govt. has also given it Legislative recognition.
