Has glass memory ?
What happens when we reuse a glass bottle which previously contained a homeopathic remedy? Is washing it with detergent or soap enough or should it also be boiled with water mixed with baking soda ? What about pastel and mortar that is use to triturate different material? What do the manufacturing companies do with utensils of stainless steel and glass tubes in their laboratories after making one remedy and starting the next one?
Can any member shed light on the subject?
These questions arose in my mind after reading an article from a manufacturer preparing a special bottle to prepare potencies. He states that glass has a memory and the bottle be discarded after use because glass can retain the memory.
But we all know that great Hahnemann used pastel and mortar to triturate material and I am sure he did not discard them after each trituration.
In our free clinic I advise patients that they can reuse their glass bottles after washing it with soap and then putting it in boiling water. But if they use a PET bottle they should discard it after one use.
