Homeopathy World Community

Creating Waves of Awareness

There are 2376 members in this community. Only about 20-30 people actively participate in different activities. This is a very serious issue because we all joined here for a cause and if that cause or purpose is not served, then all will be in vain. Let us comment on what is the probable causes for this absence of participation. If there is any suggestion about it, all can put it up.

Please come forward and speak.

Dear Nilanjana, as a HWC motivating force who keeps us moving forward and learning from each other with games, challenging questions, and fascinating information, thank you.

Jaine, many members have busy lives. It reminds me of the book I read to my children, "Busy Day Busy People" by Tibor Gerely. We understand that people have many obligations, interests and other places to be daily, weekly and seasonly.

When you have time, or make time to visit, please fill us in on your activities. Anyone who stops by now and then realizes how much they miss our dialogues about homeopathy, current events, medical news, politics,  new programming, seminars, links to FaceBook quotes and much more.

We welcome you with open arms when you pop in and I'm sure many greeted you in the live chat. Never mind that rubric of indifference, see here, you have posted a comment and left an impression.

Hugs, Debby

I request all the senior members who are there with us to take out some time and please make comments to the discussions, so that we can learn and enrich our knowledge. We are all here to LEARN.

Thank you all for being with me.

HWC is a large family. I can see it like what happens in INDIA. A few members of a family struggle to earn while remaining ones learn to earn. But as a whole, the whole family grows and takes its active and vital participation when time comes.

Dear Anita. We truly appreciate your input. We do have a broad range of accomplished homeopathic members. Some, like you are starting their journey, others have grown up in generations of homeopathic families, where Hahnemann is like their mother tongue.

HWC has grown to such an extent that it has become almost impossible to read everyone's post in the many areas of the website, taking note of the International Calendar of Events, the large number of Groups of Interest, each person's personal photo album (many amateur photographers), listening to the radio shows, and checking out the leaderboards and newsletter to improve social networking activity.

Again, thank you for visiting each day, Anita.

I have only recently joined this site. I log on every day and read read read !! I have commented on a few things. To me this is a very extensive and varied site offering so much. I am so grateful because I have learnt so much in such a short time to aid in my becoming a better practitioner. Each time I am on this site I find more , learn more and appreciate the wealth of knowledge in our homeopathic community here. There is a "ripple effect" happening, I have no doubt that it will continue to spread and inspire always.

Many Blessings to all those people who have made me feel welcome and have shared their knowledge, I am a much better person and homeopath because of it.

Here is an example of how many people actually take an 'active' part and leave a trail.

This Quote of the Day on the HWC FaceBook page has been viewed 3,707 times show impressions.

There were 25 LIKES - soon I hope we have this feature on HWC

This shows some action by the reader.

However, there was not even one comment.

This tells me people came, read, took this bit of information, and left.

I'm not sure how it impacted their lives, but it may in a small or large way as they gathered

this thought. Perhaps, if enough thoughts are gathered, the person will be ready to leave

one of their own sometime in the future. We are hoping to create critical thinkers who will

want to interact knowing they play an important part in the direction of the group activity.

Very nice analogy, Bruce. Many quiet students absorbing the information.

Dear Dr. Nilanjana,

This runs about the same as some other online groups I participate in. Many more "lurkers" than writers. But I consider them all as active participants.

For myself, I check in fairly frequently sometimes, less frequently at others. I read much more than I post. I am grateful for many conversations to which I have nothing to add, but from which I learn. So there is nothing to show that I am, in fact, actively participating in that conversation, just as an attentive student in class who is taking avid notes but does not ask a question is actively involved.
