HOMOEOPATHY HAS NOT BECOME POPULAR BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE BOOKS AS WELL AS BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE USE OF BOOKS (James Tyler Kent in his LESSER WRITINGS)
Case: I went to a clinic where both the husband and wife were practising homoeopaths. I asked him what remedy they would give for a pregnant lady where after scan report the attending lady doctor said that the child stopped growing after three months. The lady doctor replied that she would give Sepia and her husband said that he prefers Pulsatilla.
I showed them Calvin B. Knerr’s Repertory and pointed out the following under the chapter Pregnancy:
Foetus—arrested development: Secale.
At once the lady told her ignorance of Knerr’s Repertory; but her husband said that he has read materia medica and repertory for three years in homoeo medical college and he has worked under so-called eminent homoeopaths such as Rastogi, Sankaran, Jugal etc. etc. He further stated that he does not believe in Knerr’s Repertory. I explained him that I had cured five cases of retarded growth of foetus with one single dose of the remedy Secale cornutum-10M and he immediately said that does not want my advice.
Homoeopaths talk of ‘miasm’ ‘constitutional treatment’ bla bla etc. etc. but no homoeopath seems to know the following books which are absolutely essential for practice.
The most useful books are (1) HOMOEOPATHIC THERAPEUTICS by Dr. Samuel Lilienthal. (2) Wilkinson’s MATERIA MEDICA. (3) Boericke’s Mat. Medica. (4) REPERFORY by Dr. Clvin B. Knerr and (5) THE ACCOUCHEUR’S EMERGENCY MANUAL by Dr. W. A. Yingling.
Case: To a professor of a homoeo college I told the case of a person who had been suffering from (a) headache in the morning; (b) diarrhoea in the afternoon and (c) itching of body in the evening and I asked him what remedy is to be given. He replied that he would first give Sulphur (his favorite remedy for skin itching) along with Nux vomica for diarrhoea etc. etc. I showed him Boericke’s Materia Medica and under the remedy Ammonium mur. Pointed out the following:
“Its periods of aggravations are peculiarly divided as to the bodily region affected; thus the head and chest symptoms are worse mornings, the abdominal in the afternoon …the skin symptoms, in the evenings.”
This professor immediately accepted his ignorance of the above symptom in Ammonium mur and he wondered why he had never noticed that.
Case: A lady was suffering from cervical spondylitis. She narrated: “Doctor, the
Thank you Dr Rajneesh Kumar Sharma for accepting me as a member. Usually many private homoeopaths are not ready to share their expertise, success tips and practising methods. Here in this community , i hope things are different. Everybody accepting others and sharing their knowledge. Thank you once again.
