Creating Waves of Awareness

Many of my friends in homoeopathic circles still frivolously advise their patients [the tiny tots] the various types of vaccinations. The present article was published in the 6th issue of THE SIMILITUDE.

Vaccination - Myths & Facts

Myth: 1 Vaccines are completely safe.

Truth Vaccine causes significant death and disability.

The FDA’s vaccine adverse effects reporting system receives 11,000 reports (mostly from doctors) of adverse vaccine reactions a year, 1% of which include deaths
(the majority after the pertussis or
whooping cough vaccine, the P in DPT). With pertussis, the number of vaccine
related death dwarfs the number of disease deaths, the vaccine is 100 times
more deadly than the disease. In many instances, highly vaccinated population
has contracted disease. Beside pertussis deaths declined 79% prior to vaccines.

Studies have shown vaccination to be a cause of sudden infant death syndrome, a catchall diagnosis for cases when the specific cause of death is supposedly unknown.
One study found the peak incidence of the syndrome occurred at the age of two
and four months in U.S.,
precisely when the first two routine immunizations are given.

Britain actually saw a mid-seventies drop in pertussis death when vaccination rates dropped from 80% to 30%.

Myth: 2 Vaccines are effective.

Truth Vaccination is an unreliable means to prevent disease.

Measles, mumps, smallpox and polio outbreaks occurred in vaccinated populations. In 1989, the CDC reported: Among school aged children, measles outbreaks occurred in schools
with vaccinations levels of 98%. There was even a measles outbreak in a 100% vaccinated population. A recent study concluded that
measles produces immune suppression
which contributed to an increased susceptibility to other infections”.

Myth: 3 Vaccines are the main reason for low disease rates in the United States today.

Truth The impact of vaccines on infectious disease decline is unclear.

According to the British Association for the advancement of science, childhood disease decreased 90% between 1850 and 1940, paralleling improved sanitation and
hygienic practices, well before mandatory vaccination programmes. Infectious disease death in U.S. and U.K. decline steadily by about 80%
during this century (measles mortality declined 97%) prior to vaccinations. In Britain, polio
epidemic peaked in 1950 and declined 82% by the time the vaccine was introduced
there in 1956. Thus, at best, vaccination can be credited with only a small
percentage of the overall decline in
disease related deaths this century, yet even this small portion is questionable as the rate of
decline remained virtually the same after vaccines were introduced.

Furthermore, European countries that refused immunization for smallpox and polio saw the epidemic along with those countries that mandated it. In fact, both smallpox
and polio immunization campaigns, other infectious diseases continued their
decline in the absence of vaccines. A recent EHO report found that disease and mortality
rates in third world countries have not direct correlation with the
immunization procedures or medical treatment but are closely related to hygiene
and diet.

Myth: 4 Vaccination is based on sound immunization theory and practice.

Truth Many of the assumptions upon which immunization theory and practice are based have been proven false in their application.

The clinical evidence for vaccination is its ability to stimulate antibody production in the recipient, which is not disputed. What is not clear, however
is whether such antibody production constitute immunity? Furthermore, a study
published by the British Medical Council in 1950 during a Diphtheria epidemic
concluded that there was no relationship between antibody count and
disease incidence; researchers found resistant people with very low antibody
counts and sick people with high counts.

Another component of immunization theory is “herd immunity”. It states that when enough people in a community are immunized, all are protected as my 2 revealed, fully vaccinated populations have
contracted diseases.

There is a flaw in the static given; if 100 people are vaccinated and five contracted the disease, the vaccine is declared to be 95% effective. But if only 10% of
the 100 were actually exposed to the disease, then the vaccine was really only
50% effective. It is assumed that all children, regardless of the age are
virtually the same. An 8 lb. two-month-old receives the same dosage as a 40 lb.
five year old. Infants with immature undeveloped immune system may receive five
or more time the dosage (relative to body weight) as older children.

Finally the vaccination practice assumes that all recipients regardless of race, culture, diet or any other circumstances will respond identically. But this was
dramatically disproved. A few years ago in Australia’s
northern territory,
where stepped up immunization campaigns resulted in an incredibly high infant
mortality rate in the native Aborigines. Researcher A. Kalokerions, MD,
discovered that the Aborigine’s vitamin C deficient “junk food” diet was a
critical factor (vaccination depletes vitamin C reserves. Children in shock or collapse
often recover within minutes when
given vitamin C injection).

Myth: 5 Childhood diseases are extremely dangerous.

Truth Dangers of childhood disease are greatly exaggerated in order to scare parents into compliance with a questionable but profitable procedure.

Mostly childhood infectious diseases are benign and self-limiting, and they impart life long immunity is only temporary. For example, the chicken pox vaccine has
effectiveness estimated at 6-10 yrs. If effective, it will postpone the child’s
vulnerability until adulthood, when death from the disease is 20 times more

Some health care professionals are concerned that the virus from the chickenpox vaccine may “reactivate later in life in the form of herpes (shingles) or the
other immune system disorders”.

Myth: 6 Polio was one of the clearly great vaccination success stories.

Truth Vaccination caused substantial increase in polio after years of steady declines and they are sole cause of polio in the United
States today.

Six new England states reported increase in polio one year after the salk vaccine was introduced. It was reported that not only did the cases of polio
increase substantially after
mandatory vaccinations (50% from 1957 to 1958, 80% from 1958 to 1959), but
statics were manipulated by the public health services to give the opposite

Researcher - author, Dr. Viera Scheibner says 90% of the polio cases were eliminated from the statics by the health
authorities redefinition of the disease
when vaccine was introduced, while in
fact the salk vaccine was continuing to cause paralytic polio in several countries
at a time when there were no epidemics caused by the wild virus.

In 1985, the CD reported that 87% of the cases of polio in the US between 1973 & 1983 were caused by the vaccine and later declared that all but a few
imported cases since testified before a senate subcommittee that nearly all
polio outbreaks since 1961 were caused by the oral polio vaccine, Jessia Scheer
of the National Rehabilitation Hospital Research Centre in Washington DC
pointed out that most parents are unaware that polio vaccination in this
country entails “a small number of human sacrifices each year”.

Myth: 7 My child had no short reaction to vaccination, so there is nothing to worry about.

Truth The long term adverse effects of vaccination have been virtually ignored, in spite of strong correction with many chronic conditions.

The documented long term adverse effects of vaccines include chronic immunological and neurological disorders such as autism, hyperactivity, attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, allergies, cancer and other conditions,
many of which barely existed 30 yrs. ago
before mass vaccination programme vaccine
components include known carcinogens such as thersol, aluminium phos.
and formaldehyde (the poison information centre in Australia claims there is no
acceptable safe amount of formaldehyde which can be injected into a living
human body).

Medical historian, researcher and author Harris Coulter, Ph.D. explained his expensive research revealed childhood immunization to be “causing low grade encephalitis in infants on a much wider
scale than public health authorities were willing to admit”.

Myth: 8 Vaccines are the only disease prevention option available.

Truth Documented safe and effective alternatives to vaccination have been available for decades but suppressed by the medical establishment.

Most parents feel compelled to take some disease preventing action for their children while there is no guarantee anywhere,
there are viable alternatives historically. Homoeopathy has been effective in
reversing some of the disability caused by vaccine reaction, as well as many
other chronic conditions with which
allopathic medicine has had little success.

It is quite an interesting write up by Dr. Rana projecting various myths and the corresponding truths about vaccines. This reminds me about a method known as "internal vaccination" which was  successfully employed using a homeopathic preparation called Variolinum, a potentised preparation of the small pox virus which proved to be so effective as an immunizing measure in the State of Iowa in U.S. that lagislative recognition was given to this method.

I have given some more details on the topic would be available at the following link through a powerpoint presentation. I hope it is useful. Kindly let me know how it is? Let other members too know more about "risks of vaccines", so that they can guide common people at large.
