Creating Waves of Awareness
Mr G, 46, consulted me for the treatment of breathlessness at night. He gets the breathless feeling while sleeping; hence his sleep was very much disturbed. He often wakes up suddenly from the sleep for want of breath.
On examination I found that his chest was normal. There was no allergic background. The only abnormality I noticed was his left nasal passage was not patent. I could not see the passage, but only a cavity inside the nostril that can allow the tip of little finger. He said that it is since his birth. It was a case Congenital Anterior Nasal atresia that can be managed surgically. I also noticed that his right nasal passage is partially obstructed due to swollen turbinate and nasal septum. Because of these obstructions, he is basically a mouth breather (with protruding teeth).
The breathlessness he gets during sleep is actually Sleep Apnea due to lack of air supply. The congenital defect must be managed surgically, or else, the repeated sleep apnea can lead to several complications affecting the vital organs like brain, heart etc.
So, I referred the case to an ENT surgeon for surgical management. I convinced him, in case of any troubles remain after surgery, I can surely manage that with Homeopathy.
