Creating Waves of Awareness

Dear reader,
There is not a single case which can't be successfully cured or ameliorated by prescribing correct remedy. Selection of the right remedy depends upon the attitude and courage of the prescriber to find the remedy. Remember if you can't find it, someone else can. It's never that homeopathy was at fault, but the prescriber, whether treating vomiting during pregnancy, myocardial infarction in a patient of Motor Neurone Disease [MND], or any case whatsoever. Be bold to accept and be bold to challenge your self.

Great prescribers always break their limitations and increase their ABILITY TO FIND CORRECT REMEDIES FOR ANY SITUATIONS.

I hope we may challenge the beginner inside of all of us and not doubt, but think beyond the doubts, to establish the facts.

It is also important to treat our patient with confidence even in the acute conditions.

Dear Dr. piyush kumar, In homoeopathy, everybody is seems to be a beginner in some way. But everything can be cured if we have confidence and experience with hard work. For 100% success we need good guides.

Dear Debby. I have not given any information on selecting the remedy for vomiting and nausea during pregnancy.

yes each person may need different remedy, true. Individualization is the only method.

I have used Cerium oxalicum 30 with much confidence and good result where symphori or other remedy failed though they had there indications.

i cant write in detail about this remedy, In Boericke M M , its indications are given. Many are unaware of this

good remedy particularly for this complaint, i just wrote so that one may consider these remedy if case of hyperemesis gravidarum comes.

I have verified many times the usefulness of Cerium oxalicum in this complaint, but each and every case need thourough study and individualization for sure.

Dear Dr Piyush. Your information on selecting the remedy for vomiting and nausea during pregnancy is confusing. How do we learn the proper remedy selection when you have left the field open to choose any of seven or more remedies? Where is the method? Each person may need something different.

Vomiting during pregnancy. If this is the presenting complaint, how are we going to choose remedy for this complaint?

Dr Burnett had written that Medorrhinum is one of the best remedy.

A first year student will say Ipecac, as remedy for nausea.

Some will say Symphori as best remedy.

Cerium oxalicum as very valuable remedy for Hyperemesis gravidarum.

Then there is still another kind of approach. Where a prescriber keeps his eye on mentals and physical generals and then choose a remedy.

No one is at fault but beginners and students do get confused by so many options and approaches.

Correct prescribing very much depends only on how better and well we know the medicine and their medicinal effect.

Sometime when the patient has taken leave from your clinic, you will feel that Rhamnus c was better choice than Rhus tox, though Rhamnus is small remedy. Isnt it?

We should first know 'what is curable in disease.... '

Confidence by definition is "State of being certain" and has many different connotations based on its use. In homeopathic term "Confidence" can be applied as "being sure that the given treatment protocol" is right for the patient.

As a homeopath how can we deduce such an inference based on the myriad application of homeopathic art?

The day homeopathy cease to be an "individuality" based medical therapy and can be talked about in general terms with repeatable results (arnica as blood thinner, chelidonium for cholestrol etc), a homeopath may gain enough confidence to practice the science, and as long as that is not going to happen-one has to develop his/her confidence by means of experience over a period of life time.

The lack of confidence in homeopaths stems from the fact that there is no consensus among any of us, whether this is good or bad for homeopathy, only time will tell.

Dr. Rafeeque. Learning good case-taking skills is far more important than learning the remedies. If we have mastered the art of case-taking and being an unprejudiced observer we will then be able to “see” the case and know what is asking to be healed. Only then could we ever find the most correct remedy.
It is unfortunate that this aspect of the “art” in homeopathy is not being emphasized early in a student homeopath’s education. This will be the foundation of becoming a homeopath and can never be evaluated by written tests. There are not enough teachers training students to be homeopaths and too many teachers are teaching only about homeopathy. There is only one way to learn to become a homeopath and it is by doing it. We need more schools based on case-taking and a mentor-ship program that gives the student the support and opportunity to learn while being in the role of homeopath. It is through this type of program that the student can really gain confidence and go out into the world and help a lot of people

Words of Dr S R Phatak is very relevant: homeopathy is an art, but a difficult art.

Dr Rafeeque,having said what you have stated,the question arises as to what medicine would be be the "most" suitable;

Even the best of prescription of medicine by many a stalwart has failed, how do we account for that? Bad case taking, incorrect choice of potency ,change of medicine? This is a contentious issue and it has no "mathematical" solution.

One fact that we should consider is the patient and his "Vital force" or call it his immune system. In my opinion even the best of effort may end up in failure if VF is not responding.

I would like to state here that having selected a medicine after doing an honest case taking and then repertorizing it and then selecting a remedy which is supported by the Materia Medica,we can only wait for providence to lead to cure.If the factor of providence was not there then no one would remain ill;Humans must admit that we have our limitations.
