Murphy's mother, husband speak to CNN Brittany 'knew she was dying'
More: Brittany died of pneumonia, drugs
BRITTANY Murphy's husband and mother made an emotional appearance on Larry King Live in one of their few public appearances since the young starlet's death.
In the wake of a recent coroner’s report, husband Simon Monjack and mother Sharon Murphy spoke to the CNN host about Murphy’s last days.
“Mom, I’m dying,” Monjack recalled Brittany saying on the morning of her death.
Sharon Murphy, visibly distraught, let Monjack do most of the talking.
“Her eyes were not right,” Monjack said. “They were darting off left and right and centre.”
The coroner’s report cited the Clueless star’s death on December 20 as an accident, mostly due to pneumonia.
The report also stated that prescription drugs and anemia may have played a role.
Monjack rejected the suggestion that drugs were involved, saying the actress showed signs of laryngitis, and suffered from a heart murmur.
“My wife had not taken any drugs that could harm her that morning,” he told King.
When you hear such a sad story, you begin to wonder if there is any way to prevent this type of tragic loss.
We do not know the circumstances nor the actual cause of death.
