Creating Waves of Awareness
Everyone has been talking about this interview with Oprah. How can it be that news travels so fast?
Dr Alexander tells us that through meditation, prayer, finding that quiet space will bring us to this heavenly space.
He titles the experience and his book, "Proof of Heaven" but this was only his personal experience. Can we accept it the way he describes, or must each of us find the answer for ourselves? This near death experience solidified his faith and belief in God and an eternal unconditional love that binds us together.
EBEN ALEXANDER, MD
Dr. Alexander, a renowned academic neurosurgeon, spent 54 years honing his scientific worldview. He explains what happened to him, now age 58, after publishing his book.
Dreams of flying. At age 54 contracted brain meningitis, fell into a coma.
Struck by a freight train, severe back pain, headache like a white hot spike in the head. Suddenly worse.
After the coma, he awoke as a religious man with a message to tell the world. Previously, he had felt rejected and unwanted by his mother, since he was an adopted child and his birth mother wanted nothing to do with him. He felt devastated and destroyed by this knowledge. However, the near-death experience took him to a place where he was in essence reborn, since the physicians told him he had little chance of surviving. And, if he did live, he would live as a vegetable.
The fact that he recovered and within three months returned to work was a miracle. Do any remedies come to mind when you hear him say that "he is one with the universe?"
He was shocked to find the hyper-reality of that spiritual realm, which many had reported in NDEs. He has spent the last two and a half years reconciling his rich spiritual experience with contemporary physics and cosmology. His spiritual experience is totally consistent with the leading edges of scientific understanding today.
It appears he speaks out to encourage others to go into this realm via meditation, so we can all be connected "as one energy." In order for dispelling any religious and cultural world divisions, going within to reach this awareness will help to renounce prejudices, dogma and non-believing in these other worlds. For Dr Alexander, in order for him to get there, he had to transcend the material world, his rational thinking mind, his dependence upon the technical application of all being and thinking as occurring within brain matter and the body.
“Try and penetrate with our limited means the secrets of nature and you will find that, behind all the discernible concatenations, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable. Veneration for this force beyond anything that we can comprehend is my religion. To that extent I am, in point of fact, religious.” - Albert Einstein (1879 – 1955)
