Creating Waves of Awareness

I have been fortunate to treat domestic animals like cows, bullocks, buffaloes, dogs and goats many a times with homoeopathic medicines. The infinitely small doses of homoeopathic medicines worked exceedingly well, confirming Hahneman’s theory of cure. The animals too have a life force like humans. The only difference is that they are not able to express their feelings and sensations in words like human beings.

Case 1. Distemper in a dog
A pet dog of good breed was diagnosed by the Vet. as suffering from Distemper, also called Canine Distemper an infectious disease chiefly of young dogs, caused by an unidentified virus and characterized by lethargy, fever, catarrh, photophobia, and vomiting. Regular medicines failed to give him relief. The dog had high fever (105° F) since past five days and was refusing feed and water.
Lachesis 30 cured the dog in 3 days.

Case 2. Beri Beri in a Buffalo
The instance is of 1974. I had a chance of treating a buffalo which was in the sixth month of pregnancy. All its joints were swollen and tender with whole of its body puffed up, skin tense. She was moaning continuously like a human in extreme pain. It was the first time in my life I ever heard a buffalo moan. On enquiry it was found out that the owner had been feeding her boiled horse been (Urad) with mustard oil in the hope that this diet would yield larger quantity of milk after parturition.
Sometimes the mustard oil is adulterated with the oil of Prickly poppy (Argemone mexicana) seed which is capable of causing Beri Beri and Nyctalopia.

The basis of Homoeopathy is similia similibus curantur may be interpreted as – because it causes so it cures – so I prescribed Argemone mexicana 30 t. d. s. (4 globules of no. 30 size as a dose. The buffalo was cured within a week and gave birth uneventfully to a calf at due time.

Case 3. Rabies like symptoms in a pet
My younger sister had a beautiful female Pomerian. Once when the bitch was about 3 – 4 years old became terribly sick. The symptoms as observed were as follows:
• Eyes blood shot.
• Saliva continuously running out of mouth.
• Both the ears and the tail were drooped.
• Apathy to everything.
• Complete loss of appetite.
• No thirst. She was not even looking at water or milk.
• It was chained to a bush where she kept pushing her head constantly against the bush.

Suspecting the condition as an attack of Rabies I thought to give her some Hydrophobinum. But it was not easy to administer the dose in such a condition. Still I gave a dose of Hydrophobinum 200 to my sister and asked her to dissolve the same in a little quantity of milk and try to insist the bitch to lick it. It is a fact that the pets generally try to obey their mentors even if they are severely affected by Rabies. After a little coaxing the bitch touched the medicated milk by its tongue. As soon as she licked the milk the drooping ears became erect in normal position and the bitch appeared to be a bit alert. Dr. J. T. Kent says about how the homoeopathic medicines effect – “it is a matter of touch” and the touch did the magic.

It was 6 p.m. when the magic took place, by 4 a. m. the pet was absolutely well, and there was no trace of any of the symptoms of the illness remained in her. She resumed her normal activities and started barking as usual.

Case 4. Mouth and foot disease of cows
First of all the infected animal is attacked by fever. The animal stops grazing or taking food, stops ruminating. Saliva dribbles continuously from its mouth. The animal becomes dull and apathetic. Later, ulcers start developing between the toes which become quite painful and start bleeding. The animal starts jerking like kicking its legs often in distress. If the proper hygienic care is not taken the wound get infested by parasites or worms.

I have tried Natrum muriaticum 30 in the initial stage of the disease and it nearly in all cases aborted the disease promptly and saved the animals from the trouble.

Case 5. Pneumonia in a cow
Once a cow five month’s pregnant was attacked by pneumonia. The symptoms were as follows:
• High fever.
• Great shivering. All the hair of her body was standing erect.
• Great rattling in her thorax which could be heard at a distance.
• Has not passed urine and dung for hours.
• Not ruminating.
• Unable to sit down.
• Distressed appearance.
• Nose – icy cold.

Arsenicum album 30 was thought to be the remedy. First dose 5 – 6 globules of size No. 10 was given at 6 p.m. and another dose at midnight after which the cow sat down and appeared to be at comfort. By 4 a. m. it passed urine and also the dung. And by the next morning it was normal (cured).

There are numerous other cases of animals I have treated with Homoeopathic medicines successfully such experience proves the efficacy and the universal nature of the Hahnemannian Homoeopathy beyond doubt.

What would be your suggestion for a calf with "staggers"...I have been giving mag.phos cell salt in drinking water with moderate success. Any suggestion would be helpful
