Learn From Your Failure

One of my patients was suffering for the last year with a sensation as if some fluid or water is inside his pectoral muscles. There was no pain or any other sign of inflammation as such, but, whenever he touches that particular part, he felt that there is something deep inside irritating him. There was no history of trauma or any injury. I took his totality and…

Effect Of Medicines On A Healthy Person?

As is written in Organon (Aphorism 284, 6th Ed) that our Homoeopathic medicines can be given via topical application or epicutaneous routes as well, I was wondering how many times while dispensing medicines or medicating globules from liquid potency for our patients, it spills over our hand or fingers. Does that mean we are unknowingly taking these medicines daily? Does that mean we are one way or the other proving these medicines?

Impotency & Homoeopathy

Added by Dr. Navneet Bidani on September 8, 2010 at 2:00am — 11 Comments

Those were the days...

In the late 1800's there were over 100 Homoeopathic hospitals and 22 homeopathic medical schools in the U.S., and one out of five physicians practiced homoeopathy. Here are some photographs of Homoeopathic Hospitals & Medical Colleges which were fully functional in 1800's but unfortunately they were closed down by the US congress, when they stopped funding these institutions and stopped acknowledging them and their graduates as doctors and medicine people.

Wouldn't it be…

A big loss to Homoeopathy - Tinus Smits passed away...

Dear friends,

It is with great sadness that I write that Tinus Smits has passed away.

Yesterday in the early morning of April 1 Tinus Smits passed away.

As most of you will know, he was suffering of a kidney (Grawitz) tumor, and although he was very optimistic, and he still had a good time for about a year, the last month his health diminished very quickly.

His family, his wife and 3 sons, took care for him at home with the help of many others, and they did it in a very…

A Letter to my Newborn Son.

Dear Son,

I know it must seem strange of me to write you a letter when you’re only 6 days old but I hope you’ll allow me to celebrate God’s gift to us in you. First off, I’m your father. As such, I bear a tremendous responsibility and I hope I don’t let you down.

I love to hold you in my arms and I find myself watching you as you’re sleeping and I feel myself welling up with such love for you that it’s like my heart is going to burst. I can be a hard man sometimes – just… Continue

Inimical Items To Be Forbidden

It has been observed that people do have quite a misunderstanding about Diet-restrictions while using Homoeopathic Medicines. As I told Madeeha in her blog that unless a particular item in food or otherwise, is known to antidote or hamper the action of the drug administered, there is no necessity for it to be avoidable. (Aphorism 259-261)

Madeeha Asks about Diet in… Continue

A Tricky Case of Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding

‘Shruti’ a 32 year old lady came with complaints of irregular menses since past two years, protracted with heavy flooding. The flow would continue for 10-12 days and was more on certain occasions.

A couple of months back she had developed horrible low abdominal pain during menses with heavy bleeding with clots which doubled her up and led her to consult her gynecologist who suggested her hysterectomy for which she and…

Hahnemann’s Date of Birth... A Controversy….

(Published in SDHA Chronicle - April 2009)

As the days, gone by, there was situated in Upper Saxony a beautiful town called Meissen ; it was the capital of the Margravate of Misnia, and was located on the little river Meisse, near its junction, with the stately Elbe, in a fertile valley rich in corn and vineyards, and was about twelve miles northwest of the city of Dresden.

Upon the outskirts of the village, not far from the old Albrecht Castle, stood a long, plain… Continue

Medorrhinum- A Well Proven Nosode

Published in: Homoeopathic Medical Panaroma (June-2006)

Compared to Latin word NOXA _ means damage

Nosodes are medicines prepared from products of diseases or diseased tissues of human beings, animals & plants.

Pictorial Homoeopathy

Some time back we were discussing some charts which shows the exact location of body parts & the action of medicines on that specific point.

I have couple of some charts which I am posting here for the benefit of homoeopathy fraternity. I don't have any idea from which book they are, so I apologize if I am violating any copyright issue.

If anybody is having any idea which book is this, kindly mention it.

I hope to have some good discussion over this… Continue

Homeopathic remedies related to music.

E. W. Hubbard, M.D. New York.

Journal of American Institute of Homeopathy. No° 11-12, 1964, pages 311 to 313.

Christmas is connected in our minds with music, whether we harken to the Herald Angels singing or hear the church bells ringing at the frosty midnight, or whether the children listen for the Santa Claus sleigh bells or the elders sing hymns by the fireside, or the groups carol in the snow on Christmas eve… Continue

Hahnemann----- A true Psychiatrist

Published in Homoeo-Times (April 2007)

Hahnemann was "one of the earliest, if not the very first," to advocate a "treatment of the insane by mildness rather than coercion,"

As Dudgeon tells us, Hahnemann "settled for a time in 1792," [Dudgeon, xxiii] in Georgenthal, and it was while residing there that he "accepted an offer of the reigning Duke of Saxe-Gotha to take charge of an asylum for the insane,"… Continue

Constitution & Suppression in Homoeopathy

Published in Advent of Homoeopathy ( Dec 2006)

We frequently speak of constitution & of constitutional remedies. Yet, when we ask ourselves what constitution actually is we find we are at a loss for an answer. Inspite of referring number of books & articles of the great Homoeopaths, this term constitutional is not yet cleared. How can a differentiation be made between what is constitutional & what is not constitutional? How do we define the boundaries of the… Continue
