Creating Waves of Awareness
After the explorations of het northern part of Israel with its abundant orchards and vineyards Shahaf took me back to Michal. Rivka Klein organized a seminar on Sunday where I could to explain my purpose with the Walk and my approach in taking and analyzing a case. In the afternoon the live patient gave me the opportunity to demonstrate the theory.
Over the years I became more and more convinced that the most important thing in case taking is the art of listening with full…

Awareness Of Homeopathy In General Public
Probably homeopaths around the world do very little to create awareness in general public about the usefulness of homeopathy as a curative system. We need to tell the world that there is such system available by some visible advertisements. Adding few words like HOMEOPATHY CURES automatically when you send mails or tweets is one method. Bumper stickers on your car is another system, which attracts the attention of passersby. I am pasting the picture of my car. Thanks.…

It was not before three days later, when my subsequent hosts Ronit Abutbul and Brit Gilad discussed the next stage of the walk, that it became clear some misunderstanding slipped in. While arranging things somebody said or somebody heard that the ones hosting me should take me to interesting places in…

Saturday Jenni Tree and I stayed in Michal Yakirs girly, rosy apartment with a fairy tale garden. It made me long even more for my own place that is decorated exactly the way I like it. Mahesh Gandhi came in the afternoon for getting more of Michal’s teachings. She is a botanist and spent 20…

This week was a bit like disappearing from the earth. The yearly Teacher’s Meeting was held in Jerusalem at the monastery of the Notre Dame de Sion: a lovely peaceful place with a gorgeous garden but unfortunately with very limited access to the Internet. This plunged us, busy homeopaths, in a state of discomfort. On the one hand we were liberated from the tyranny of having to respond immediately to every message or question but on the other hand we knew that this only meant work…

There were only three days at home between my Walk in the UK and my early flight for Israel. Thursday I spent at the country house where my sweetheart lives. We found this quiet place after about two years of Sunday walks, because in Flanders there is hardly a quiet place left. 3300 m² of land, surrounded by fields and along an unpaved road with no electricity met our needs.
We rebuilt the bungalow with organic materials and made it into a very cozy place. Paul built a…

It’s always a bit of a surprise where I will end up staying for the night: Christel books my overnight stay online and all I have is an address. In London it turned out to be The International Students House: modest, small, hot rooms perfumed with students sweat, or at least that was what I thought it was. Notes on the hallway walls with all kinds of announcements for interesting and exciting shows, meetings and places, reminded me of my own student period in Leuven. I started my…

After seeing patients and lecturing at Mike Andrews place, my Walk took me to Bristol. On Friday there was the Education Day organized by Ian Andrews and Linda Wicks, titled: “Sharing Good Practice”. Life ... lately.
Well, life has been a bit stressful lately. Our 12 year old granddaughter was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilm's Tumor on the 20th of December. She then went through surgery but it was unsuccessful. Today she is being admitted to the Holtz Jackson Miami hospital for a very intricate and dangerous surgery to again try to remove the tumor. She had 2 chemo treatments right after Christmas and the tumor shrunk a bit. Then 6 more chemo sessions and the tumor is believed to be dead now but did not…

Arriving at Joerg Wichmann’s place it started to snow and it didn’t stop for the whole next day. Closing my eyes in bed I still saw snowflakes falling. Messages from Belgium informed me that the traffic jam broke all records. Christel’s Eurostar to London was canceled. Joerg and Angelika’s three children…

These three days walking alone the weather was spoiling the pleasure somewhat. Rain is the most unpleasant for hiking, even with a plastic poncho that covers rug sack and all and make me look like Quasimodo.
It was flat, grey and silent these days, People stay inside if they don’t need to go out. Walking in the drizzle, almost between the drops, it occurs to me that the Walk is an ongoing lesson in trust: things always seem to turn out well. The rain became less when I…

In Köthen my companion for the next days, Jost Schulte, met me in the Hahnemann House, to be precise: in the Master’s office! Could there be a better place to see each other for the first time, after mailing and Skype conversations?
It was a relief to start walking again, leaving cities behind. The temperature was around 3 degrees, the sky still grey with a sharp northern wind biting our cheeks in the open fields.…
