What brought you to homeopathy? Tell your 150 word inspirational story that connects you to homeopathy. How has homeopathy changed your life?
I have been interested in working in healthcare for a long time. I decided that i wanted to pursue a career as a Physiotherapist, and completed a year of training at University. I became quite disillusioned while doing a work placement, as a lot of the exercises given to patients were to MAINTAIN their range of movement, i wanted to help people move forwards into BETTER health, to IMPROVE their range of movement!
So, i ended up leaving after my first year. After saving up some money working as a healthcare assistant with disabled children, adults with learning difficulties and the elderly, i went off to South America. There i met a shaman who taught me a lot about the medicinal properties of some of the jungle plants, she told me some amazing stories of healing that she had witnessed and facilitated. From then on, i knew that i wanted to work with natural medicines, i wanted to help people to heal and reach their full potential!
And so, i returned to the UK, did some research and spoke to friends, and learnt about the amazing results that had been acheived with Homeopathy, a month later, i started on a four year part time course at The South East College of Homeopathy. I graduated in July 2010, and am now looking to build up my practice. My website is www.lisathehomeopath.co.uk

What is your vision for the future of homeopathy
I would like Homeopathy to be available to EVERYONE.
Why I would like to join this network?
I want to promote homeopathy, I want to meet like-minded people, I want to learn more about homeopathy, I want to advocate for homeopathy, I want to learn how to market my skills, I want to advertise on HWC, I want to join a local community of homeopaths, I want to be involved with the homeopathic community at large
Write detailed background to introduce yourself. What school did you attend? Year of graduation? Degree or diploma? Where do you practice?
My past jobs include: Groom, bar assistant and care assistant/pupil support worker.
After my A levels, i took a gap year and worked (with horses), and travelled in Australia.
Following this, i went to University for a year, until deciding that a career as a Physiotherapist wouldn't be as fulfilling as i imagined.
I then travelled in Canada and North America. Then, after some more care work, went to South America, where my life was changed!
If you do not have a reference so that we can verify your homeopathic status, please send a copy of your homeopathy diploma and association certificates to HWCmembers at gmail dot com
Personally, i think that Homeopathy is slowly nudging me towards acheiving my full potential in every area of my life. It has unstuck me.
I feel excited about my chosen career, i love that i learn something new from every patient, and that i can watch every patient grow.
As well as this, Homeopathy has given me hope. It has given me hope that people can be helped to improve their health and not just maintain their poor health.
What are your interests besides homeopathy? Inquiring minds want to know.
I love walking my dog, playing my cello, listening to music, reading, watching films, catching up with friends (especially for lunch! I love lunch!), yoga, meditation, EFT.
