Creating Waves of Awareness

Colors and what they have to with healing,having a healthy outlook on life? Do you surround yourself with color? Do you like whites/muted tones/grey's. What makes you tick,What colors makes you depressed,What colors do you wear? What colors are your office/your living quarters?
I surround myself with ALL colors,All the time.
My Homeopathic office is a warm earthtone orange. My house is Emerauld Green on the outside,Each room a different color. The first color I see when I wake up is Red walls.
My least favorite color is Grey+white- Its depressing to me,seems like a day without sun.My favorite color has always been green,all shades of glorious green.Thus my choice on my personal HWC page.

Please post your favorites and why-
RED - The color of power, vitality, motivation, strength

ORANGE - The color of confidence, energy, joy, warmth

YELLOW - The color of strength, intelligence, joy, happiness, optimism

GREEN - The color of balance, harmony, caring, tenacious self-reliance, and healing

BLUE - The color of calmness, concentration, healing, relaxation, loyalty, and trust

INDIGO - The color of soothing, power, connection with knowledge, idealism, introversion.....and martyrdom?

VIOLET - The color of creativity, intuition, spirituality, self-awareness

Now the opposite:
Lack of Color Causes Depression
How we "feel" about color is more than psychological. The last decade has proven that lack of color, or more specifically, light, causes millions to suffer each winter from a mild depression known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Because of the complex way in which exposure to various colors acts via the brain upon the autonomic nervous system, exposure to a specific color can even alter physiological measurements such as blood pressure, electrical skin resistance and glandular functions in your body. And they most certainly can affect how you feel on a day-to-day basis.
Hi Gina ~ Quite a fun exercise. Color really impacts all of our lives and imparts tremendous emotion. I think a few HWC members practice colour therapy.

I like many colors, as well. I've always liked white and black, which both reflects and absorbs all colors. I once saw the spectacle of a huge rainbow after a storm that seemed to cross the entire horizon from ground to ground. I wish I had a camera to capture that site. I doubt I will ever see anything like it again. Miraculous to see every ribbon of color distinctly in the bow which filled the sky.

White is very clean, but people do not realize how many shades of white are possible. Black is like a uniform, simplicity, darkness, beauty. Every color goes well with black. They say every woman should have their eloquent black dress with a string of pearls.

My kitchen is now painted on the upper half with lemony yellow and robin's egg blue. It reminds me of springtime and it's a good place for eating. The hallways are green that is so happy it makes you giggle and laugh. The living room in lavender purple that is like a flower blooming. My office is peachy orange, so probably the warmest tone in the house. There is a yoga room I painted with all clouds and blue skies. Even the ceiling is solid blue. You feel like you are outside when sitting in this room.

It's hard to choose just one color. Reds are good for accents, but a bit too strong for large solid areas, although I'm sure someone could make it work.

For myself, I really like pink. Light feminine tones, but you will see me dressed in just about any color.
Hi Debby,thanks for your comments-
Ah sounds like your house is just like myn,A happy place to be!!!!Sounds wonderfull,when Can i visit?
Yes It is hard to choose only one color I agree.
I have been an artist my entire life and worked with every color to its fullest degree,To take painting from a mere canvas to an entire wall is theraphy in itself. A sudden surge of energy release,unbridled explosion of suppressed creative urges.I cannot imagine living in a white/grey walled house Debby. This to me indicates a hospital/insaine assylum,dental office,accounting office,a laboratory...........Ooh just thinking about having to exist in a white/grey room makes me depressed.
Just think about the colors Gina. Don't put yourself into the white-grey space. Thanks for teaching about homeotherapeutics.
Simplified Universal Pendulum in the field of homeotherapeutics

The choice of potency in homeopathy has long been a very difficult,
often confused subject; for the past few months I have been using the Simplified Universal Pendulum for this purpose in a number of cases, so far with good results. Here's the method I have developed:
the longest (angstrom units) visible light ray is red, and the shortest is violet

the photon-energy "packet" is most dispersed in the red ray, and most concentrated in the violet

in a way, the "information" or "signal" or "energy pattern" of a
homeopathic remedy is most "dispersed" in the higher potencies (dilutions, attenuations) and is the least "dispersed" (most "concentrated") in the lower potencies (dilutions, triturations)

applying the red ray pick-up (on the Simplified Universal Pendulum) to the highest (most highly attenuated) homeopathic potencies, and the violet ray pick-up on the S.U.P. to the lowest (least attenuated) homeopathic potencies, I test the selected remedy (or remedies) vs the person, animal (or their witness) and see at which color-frequency length on the S.U.P. I obtain a clock-wise gyration (which, for me, means a resonant "hit")

I then check the color-frequency/potency level on the following table:

VIOLET = 3x-6x/3c potency
INDIGO = 4C-5C potency
BLUE = 6c/12x potency
GREEN = 9c - 30x potency
YELLOW = 30c potency
ORANGE = 200c potency
RED = 1m - 10m potency

where a range is found (e.g. Indigo 4c or 5c potency) I then check which of the potencies is most indicated by stating the potency and observing if I obtain a gyration (which is a positive response) or if the back and forth oscillation continues (which for me is a negative response)

occasionally when testing the selected remedy for potency, 2 or 3 colors will give a clock-wise gyration (for me, a sign of resonance between the remedy color-frequency and the subject); in these instances I use a "potency chord" of all of the potencies indicated by the different color-frequencies detected by the S.U.P.

Hope the above will be of some value to those of you experimenting with the Simplified Universal Pendulum in the field of homeotherapeutics.

Potency Ponderland ...
The frequency/potency table above has a certain inherent and compelling logic, but I would intuitively expect the Higher Chakras to be in the realm of 1M->50M because they are more immaterial... We're entering into the rarified realms of Autonomy (Lanthanides) and Spirituality (Actinides).

At the other end of the scale, you could easily get a big physical reaction to a dose of Ferrum 30c (red, base chakra).

Interesting conundrum :)
Thanks Anna for your comment.
Drabcolors sometimes indicate a desire to blend in,not to be noticed.
Many say that wearing black makes the palate neutral and gives attention to the others in the room .
What an interesting discussion!Colors are so much a part of our lives.They blend in different ways in our day to day life.Some elevate moods while others make you sad.Black makes me feel pessimistic.I like different shades of favorite color too.I have many shades of green in my Indian dresses and specially Sarees,the Indian traditional dress.Green colors in cotton and silk looks gorgeous.But I like other vibrant colors like orange,pink,maroon,mustard yellow... endless list of different shades.
I like mixed colors of autumn and bright and fresh colors of spring.. Makes me very happy and full of joy..
Thank you Dr Nirupama
Ahh I see you have a liking for my favorite color that is green!
I agree the silk in the Indian Sari's really are the most beautifull.
When traveling through India specially the verry poor places+ dirty cities,those sari's on the women of India really look like glowing happy flowers,such a beautifull sight to see.
You see the same on the women in Bali Indonesia,the traditional balinese clothing also is part Sari,also is verry colorfull.
Such a feast for the eyes!
What would this planet be without color?
Yet there are many who dislike color,dislike using color in their homes/offices/wardrobes.
Some are even afraid to use colors.
Hi Gina ~ which remedy personality types dislike color or are even afraid to use color? Have you had such people come to your office? I imagine color-blind people must have a different view of the world.
That´s really interesting! And it is funny that only women are replying to this discussion....(till now)
I know some men who likes only gray, black and such colours but very seldom women who likes only gray.....
Berlin, where I live, is quite gray, so after some time you start to like it. It gives some kind of clear and practical feeling. Rational feeling :)
Gray stones, en elephant it´s all gray and beautiful...
I live in a rented apartment so it is not possible to colour so much the walls (they should remain white!) but the floors are interesting. I have orange ornament floor in the first room and kitchen and these are two rooms where I spend the most time! In one sleeping room the floor is green. Because the walls are white I can play a lot with colourful curtains. I change them from time to time depending on the mood....

By the way Debby I didn´t know you have a yoga room too!! My yoga room has brown floor, red and beige curtains and bright blue ornamental carpet on the wall.

I feel and think in colours, and for me every letter has its colour. So for example A is red, B - violet, C -white-yellow, D, N - green, E, M - blue, F, H, R - brown, G - black or dark brown, I, O - white, K - dark yellow, L - metallic gold-green, P ,T -dark blue, Q - dark yellow, S - yellow, U - gray-brown, V - orange, X - bright green, Y - grey, Z - greenish...

When it is about the clothes, depends on the feeling too. In black I feel protected and it looks elegant, somehow, I don´t need to worry so much. And I don´t find it pessimistic like many do. There is also black Krishna, black Goddess aswell black Maria so I don´t think black should have such a negative meaning. Black is also some kind of warm colour for me. White I see mostly cold but sometimes I like it too very much. When I wake up, I have certain colours in my mind wich I would like to look at during the day or "be in a feeling of that colour". So mostly I wear cloths corresponding to that feeling.
My other favourite combination is dark red with turqize, it´s calming and it has some special meaning for me wich I can´t explain.....
Very interesting Tihana. I also like black, even as a kid I liked black. You are the second person I know who sees in colors! The other person hears words and visualizes a color. I think it's a gift.

As for dressing in different colors, there seems to be an ESP with it at times. I notice this when I go some place and all the ladies are wearing the same color [without planning]. :-)
