What To Do When Aggravation Comes After Anti-Miasmatic Treatment?

Hello friends.

What can we do when aggravation comes after repeated dose of anti-miasmatic remedy? The patient had reported marked relief from first few doses.

it is a mistake to repeat deep maismatic medicine in such a frequency.
hello, Dr. Habib...

thanx for ur comment. i know that it was a mistake.

by d way, it was a case taken by one of my frnd.. she was stuck in this case and asked me for some suggestions... it was a question for me also to handle this case... thats why i m looking for some suggestions to handle such case.
Dear Dr. Namrata,
When the patient was markedly better by a few doses by further repetition of medicine the aggravation was must.
Now the simple procedure is to stop the medicine and wait for some time. By passing some time the aggravation will subside and the case will move toward cure.
But this is possible only when the aggravation is not so much severe. What to do if the aggravation is severe and unbearable or the case does not allow us to wait? Two things,
1. If the same symptoms have been aggravated for which the medicine was prescribed, then give a dose (or two) of the same remedy but a lower potency. For instance you gave 200 or 1M, give a dose of 30, and if 30 was repeated give a dose of 6 or 12 potency.
2. If the symptoms are other that the patient had before taking the medicine, then retake the case and select a new remedy more suitable more similar to the present totality.
When the case does not improve by stopping the medicine and repetition causes aggravation then we have the only way to resort and that is Hahnemann’s method of water doses that he suggested in the 6th Organon. In this method we can adjust the dose and repeat it in every individual case in order to achieve speedy cure without aggravation. I have written a full chapter on this topic in my upcoming book “Understanding & Utilizing the Homoeopathic Materia Medica”. If you need and wish to read it I would by happy to share it with you.

THANKS A LOT SIR for sharing your great knowledge........

My friend had reported that the same older symptoms were aggravated and aggravation was much severe that she had to give drug...... she had prescribed some specific drug but i felt that there can be another better way...

here i have a querry...if we give the same drug in lower potency, does not it enhance the physical symptoms?
When a given potency aggravates the same symptoms, a lower potency usually moves the case toward cure. I have experienced this many times. We can also achieve this purpose by reducing size of the dose of the same potency. For example if 5 or 8 globules of 30-potency cause aggravation, take one globule of the same potency, dissolve it into 10-15 tablespoonfuls of water, stir it well and give one tablespoon from this medicated water as a dose.
But these techniques are for such cases as are still or very slowly improving by stopping the medicine. When the case gets markedly and speedily improving by any potency and any size of the dose, NO REPETITION IS THE RULE. I would like you read a few lines of Hahnemann,

“Every perceptibly progressive and strikingly increasing amelioration in a transient (acute) or persistent (chronic) disease, is a condition as long as it lasts, completely precludes every repetition of the administration of any medicine whatsoever, because all the good the medicine taken continues to effect is now hastening towards its completion”.
(Organon, Dudgeon aphorism 245,P., 122)

As regards Dr. Farooqee’s opinion, my understanding of the philosophy is different. According to the Organon as well experience over repetition causes aggravation, but only when the medicine is thoroughly similar. When a medicine is not thoroughly similar it will cause suppression of some symptoms, not aggravation. More similar the medicine the more it is likely to produce the aggravation. Medicines prescribed on keynote symptoms and pathological symptoms usually are not fully similar and partially similar medicines definitely do not cause aggravation.
dear dr namrata
if your medicine is correct and you have administered it in dynamic potency there is no question of aggravation even in repeated dose.
if there was aggravation after repeated dose of the medicine, even single dose acted well, reveals that the medicine selected was not correct.
i have tested this fact on more than 200 cases and found that repeated dose dose not have matter if the selection of medicine is correct.

I think Hahnemann disagrees with you Dr Farooquee, and so do hundreds of thousands of patients.
Dr Hahnemann was scientist and a scientist is evaluated every year, every month, every day and even every minute. I follow the principles given by Dr Hahnemann providing logic for the said principles and not that each sentence written in the Organon. What is wrong if I am setting a principle on the basis of my 30 yrs of observation in my clinic? He himself amended his own principles several times in his life. Where ever the patients are concerned they are the followers of their doctors.
As per my knowledge, I said nothing against the principle provided by Dr Hahnemann.

Lets do this the hard way.

Please detail any principle Dr Hahnemann amended.

Please Tell me how you have overcome the the laws of chemical and physical action from a drug to obviate overdosing and aggravation even from the right medicine when Dr Hahnemann had to change a whole potency scale to minimise reaction, and even after doing this still refrained from repeating the dose after a reaction occurred.

the chemical and physical characteristic of a drug reacts with the chemical and physical characteristic of the cell, tissue or organ of the body and gives the symptoms. but an immaterial characteristic( a dynamic medicine in 30 potency and above ) of a material substance can't react with material cells and my discussion mentioned above i talked about dynamic medicine.
homeopathy is not a history of past experiences. it is the science of the day.we observe it every day from morning to evening.see the result on the patients and compare it with the previous one.

hello Farooquee sir,
thanks for sharing your views.

I am not against your views but how to understand the case I described according to your views?

The patient had already noted much improvement on mental as well as physical aspect after three doses of thuja 200, but repetition of thuja 1M after a week produced much aggravation in his all chief complaints.
