Creating Waves of Awareness
Women all over the world have very special fascination for nail polish besides other beauty enhancing products. The list would be too long to enumerate. Muslim women are no exception, whether they are from Indonesia, the Pakistan subcontinent or any other continent. Love for beauty is eternal.
Those with serious religious beliefs had reservations about using nail polish, as it prevented water from penetrating the nail surface and making cleansing the nails with water impossible. The water contact is necessary when performing "Wadu" or ablution. Thus, Muslim women avoided using nail polish. Some would just use "Henna".
Now, there has been a breakthrough and a new version of nail polish has been invented which allows the water to penetrate and touch the nail surface. This has caught the fancy of many Muslim women who may be sighing in relief as their wish has been granted .
The news appeared in DAWN newspaper today.

I think Nail polish was not available at the time of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) Henna is used for coloring hairs and i do not think that it is necessary to remove it before performing “Vadu”Perhaps religious leaders also use Henna that is why they have not disallowed.
Anyway the news is encouraging.
Regards.

Good news for many!
