Dear Namrata, I shall give you some ideas very soon. Blessings...

Dear Members

Lachesis is not a remedy held as: anti psoric, --sypilitic, -- sycotic.

It does not bear any resemblance to Hahnemann's miasms and is a rather acute remedy. Hahnemann used it and Boenninghausen included it in his works.

I have personal doubts of the validity of Hering's provings.

In Vipera Redi he wants to have observed: Sadness in a rabit, and in Vipera Torva : Dog never regains its previous fire.

Source of symptoms – Hering’s guiding symptoms
Miasmatic interpretation – Psora and pseudo psora (Dr. J.H. Allen)

1. Thinks he will die (fear of death)
2. Sensitive to touch
3. Loquacity, much rapid talking.
4. Perfect happiness and cheerfulness.
5. Rush of blood to head, with heat in head.
6. Burning vertex headache during menopause.
7. Oversensitive to light (sun light)
8. Earthy, livid, cache tic complexion.
9. Flushes of heat
10. Stomatitis
11. Dryness of mouth with thirst
12. Tendency to take cold
13. Hunger can not wait for food.
14. Constant thirst with dry tongue and skin.
15. Dry, hot skin,

1. Weakness of memory; makes mistakes in writing.
2. Great dullness of mind
3. Mind confused and wandering
4. Aversion of women to marry
5. Desire to suicide
6. Irritability, ill humor,
7. blue discoloration of face (Venous congestion)
8. Violent headache when nasal discharge suddenly dry up.
9. Dull pain in occipital region of head.
10. Headache every eight or ten days (periodicity)
11. Rheumatic heart disease
12. Purplish appearance of mucous membrane or skin.(Pulsatilla)
13. Hemorrhoid

1. Aggravation at night
2. Oversensitive to light (Artificial light)
3. gums swollen and spongy easily bleeding (Merksol)
4. Salivation with hawking and coughing (syphilitic ulcer)
5. Lymphoadinopathy (tonsillitis particularly of left side)
6. Liver cancer

1. Nosebleed
2. Hemorrhagic tendency

Interesting contribution.

As an example I will follow through 2 of above symptoms .

Thinks he will die (fear of death)

is not a proving symptom but a clinical experience (see original proving, where it is not contained)

Fear of death is not psoric as such (see hahnemann, CK 1 / 96)

Result: classification invalid.

Allen misinterpreted the original. (had no German and had to rely on poor translations)

Symptom 3:

Loquasity, much rapid talking --

the proving give the following: pathological loquacity, ,giving speeches in well selected language., always changing the subject.

No mentioning in the list of active Psora in Hahnemann. --

Result: classification invalid.

I could analyse above symptoms returning to the proving and the CK, -- only time does not permit.

It always pays out to have a look into the originals, and not to blindly copy what commentaries wrote.

The textbook of any Science is never completed. There are, always, new researches going on and additions/ corrections/ modifications are needed to update it. If something is not written in Hahnemann's book, it never mean that can not happen.

Fear of death is Psoric.

Loquacity is Psoric and may be modified by Sycosis.

Well done Dr. Habib.... Blessings.

Thank you Dr. Rajneesh.

Dear Dr Rajneesh Kumar Sharma MD (Hom)

Dear Dr. Habib Khan

This is a very interesting statement. (=Fear of death is psoric, Loquacity is psoric)

I checked the repertories.

The Rubric LOQUACITY (page 714, Synthetic repertory, H. Bartel) contains:

100 remedies, previously not classed as antipsoric remedies and 21 Anti-psoric remedies.

I checked for FEAR OF DEATH page 487 synthetic repertory, H. Barthel, Klunker):

I found 102 remedies previously not classed as anti psorics and 22 previously classed as anti psorics.

If your statement were correct, we would have at least 100+ new anti psoric remedies.(by introducing Loquacity and fear of death as psoric symptoms)

Introducing more "new" anti-psoric symptoms would create an even larger amount of remedies, then being anti-psorics.

Soon, every remedy would be an antipsoric.

This would raise the question of the value of miasmatical classification, as any miasmatic classification would entirely be without benefit for the selection of a remedy.

Dear Dr. Hans Homoeopathy is more then repertory,

will you explain please "What do you mean by Psora?"

Dear Dr. Habib Khan

Of course, there is much more to homeopathy than the repertory, still, repertories seem to be central tool for the selection of the correct remedy nowadays. Are you doubting some entries?

Another important part is Materie Medica Pura = the provings, and last not least the Chronic disease, if we are discussing psoric ,sycotic or syphilitic matter.

Back To your question:

On the subject of PSORA, I refer you to Samuel Hahnemann:

Die Chronischen Krankheiten, ihre eigentuemliche Natur und ihre homeopathische Heilung

Erster Teil, zweite viel vermehrte Auflage.

Dresden und Leipzig, Arnoldsche buchhandlung 1835

Here you will find answers to this vast subject.

I have shown in my previous post, that LACHESIS does not have: Fear of Death and fear of death is not a psoric expression as defined by Hahnemann (reference above).

I have shown, that Loquacity, much rapid talkingis not a symptom of Lachesis contained in the proving. I have shown that LOQUACITY is not a psoric symptom as defined by Hahnemann (reference above).

I have shown what would be the result in upholding such ( IMO: false) view (= Loquacity is psoric, fear of death is psoric).

What is the reason to continue to do so?

Dear Dr. Hans

You are rejecting the fact that “Fear of death and loquacity” are not psoric symptoms because of; it is not Classified under the head of psoric symptoms by Dr. Hahnemann. We all have its own mind, homoeopathy never end on hahnemann. Logic is another aspect of homoeopathy Hahnemann himself used inductive method of logic for their investigation and grouping of symptoms under the title of miasm either psoric- sycotic or syphilitic.

Continue 12 years of study, careful case taking and investigation of the personal and family history of the patient, when he found three basic diseases in the history of patients Ether Itch, Gonorrhea or Syphilis, emphasis to hahnemann that these three basic disease are caused of all incurable malady that is known as chronic diseases.

Itch is one of the miasm of Dr. Hahnemann. When get suppressed by violent dissimilar manner of treatment it produce a specific disorder in one of our humor known as blood. Because, itch act only on blood and spread by the nerve. Hence it produces only functional disease.

Fear of death and loquacity it also a type of functional disease.

Heart is the large reservoir of blood hence effect of any disturbance in the circulation ultimately affect the heart.

Fear of death is associated symptoms of the heart disease. It always associated with cardiac affection more or less. It is a great Boenninghausen’s concomitant symptoms.

Following medicine has its prominent action on the heart thus produce symptoms “fear of death”

ACONITE – Mainly act on the circulation and heart hence produce Fear of death

ARSENIC – Great remedy of heart affection produce fear of death

CACTUS – Constriction feeling around the heart with fear of death.

ARNICA – Chronic hypertrophy of the heart with fear of death especially at night

OPIUM – Great turmoil in the circulation, congestion of the heart with red eyes and dilated eye pupil. Produce symptoms of fear of death.

DIGITALIS – Slow pulse associated with fear of death.

LACHESIS – Produce septic condition of blood and a great remedy of heart disease similar to NAJA. Produce fear of death second grade symptoms in Kent’s repertory.

According to you the symptoms of fear of death is a clinical symptom in lachesis. Clinical symptoms have high value in the selection of medicine because it is practically verified symptoms. So you can not reject the fact that, it is not Psoric symptoms because of its not classified under the head of psoric symptoms by master Hahnemann.
