Here I agree with Dr. Sushil Bahl but on hypothetical level, I say, it does work exactly as other medicines are working.
My interpretation is, Homeopathy is based on body’s own natural healing system or mechanism. It is naturally built in. Few people call it immune system, resistance power, vital force and sooo on.......
In healthy person, this “mechanism” is running normal and we see no sign or symptom but on the administration of the material doses it got depressed (disturbed) and a result symptoms are produced in healthy person. These set of symptoms actually the drug picture of aconite, belladonna, kali mur and ferrum phos etc
Now in sick, the mechanism is already depressed due to some reason or unhealthy living…. At this stage, the patient set of symptoms are compared with already available drug picture. Here at this stage, we see which medicine can trigger the mechanism again to produce the same set of drug picture. This MECHANISM is triggered with homeopathic medicines in small, pure and diluted form of the same substance and its wake up and cure is obtained through body own natural healing system.
You see, there is no difference in the action of homeopathic medicine at crude level and low potency form. Both actions are same. The only difference is that if you eat 1 gm of cyanide it will kill you but cyanide .00000000000001gm will not produce any bad effect on your body. One is in large dosea and other is in small minute dose but here dose does not mean "nothing" or absent (000000000000000)
When a person says " I think" or "I believe" there is nothing to discuss. When a person asserts a certain action without proof, I think of the axiom, "better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and confirm it."
as we addminister the homoeopathic dose by mouth it acts on the nerve first of all sensory stimulated by the dose and the active principles of the dose acts on the brain and gives response to the stimuli. becuase our body is control by our brain and nervous system. so body is regulated by our brain and every tissue, organe, nerve function of the body is regulated by pitutory gland. pitutory harmones are regulated by our homoeopathic medicine which is disturbed
if we take the example of the COFFEA medicine it principle action on the nervous system causing action where the distubance is present, i.e if patients having excessive sleepiness it causes normal physiological sleep that man requires then what what is the action of coffea. with the homoeopathic medicine we are restoring what is disturb to normal level.
It is a major source of the highly poisonous alkaloids strychnine and brucine, derived from the seeds inside the tree's round, green to orange fruit. The seeds contain approximately 1.5% strychnine, and the dried blossoms contain 1.023%. However, the tree's bark also contains poisonous compounds, including brucine.
The properties of Nux Vomica are those of the alkaloid Strychnine. The powder made from the Strychnine seeds were used to alleviate indigestion. Mixtures of Nux Vomica were also used as a stimulant on the gastro-intestinal tract. In the mouth it acts as a bitter dietary, increasing appetite by stimulating peristalsis. Chronic constipation can also be cured when nux vomica is often combined with cascara and other laxatives. Strychnine also increases the flow of gastric juice. It is then rapidly absorbed as it reaches the intestines, after which it affects the central nervous system and the movements of respiratory system causing a quicker and deeper breathing motion. The heart is also slowed through excitation of the vagus center. The senses of smell, touch, hearing and vision are rendered more acute. It improves pulse and raises blood pressure and can be used as a tonic for the circulatory system in cardiac failure. Strychnine is eliminated with a half-life of about 12 hours . The most direct symptom caused by strychnine is violent convulsions due to a simultaneous stimulation of the motor or sensory ganglia of the spinal cord. During the convulsions there is a rise in blood pressure. Brucine closely resembles strychnine in its action, but is slightly less poisonous as it only causes paralysis of the peripheral motor nerves. It is said that the convulsive action of strychnine is absent in brucine. It was used in pruritus and as a local anodyne in inflammations of the external ear.
THIS ACTION DOES BY CRUDE MEDICINE. SO BY POTENTISATION WE JUST INCREASE THE ENERGY OF THE STRYCHNINE WHICH ACTS AS A SAME BUT JUST STIMULATE THE PATIENTS PHYSIOLOGICAL PROCESS AND RESTORING THE NORMAL PHENOMENON.
IT ACTS AS A BOTH SIDE OF THE COIN I.E
1. ACTS WHEN THERE IS LACK
2. ACTS WHEN THERE IS EXSESSIVE
ROLE OF HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINE IS TO RESTORE THE NORMAL. AND THAT IS WHAT OUR MEDICINE(NUX VOM) ACTS ON THE NERVE STIMULATE SECRETION OF GASTRIC JUICE RESULTING IN RESTORATION OF NORMAL. SO ACTION HAPPENED OVER THE BRAIN stimulating of the motor or sensory ganglia of the spinal cord.
only difference between allopathy and homoeopathy is that they gives same medicine in crude form and we give same medicine in dynamised form.
as they repeat the dose and we gives single and minimum dose.
every substance(plants, minerals) having positive and negative elecrode by the dynamisation we just increasing is capacity to acts more dynamically.
consider the 1 substance(molecule) having 10 mhz energy in its crude form and by potentisation it get converted to 100 mhz(1x or 1c). here energy is increased( avogadrose law)
for second time same will repeate for 2x and 2c potency
so it will go increasing and finally no medicinal substance present or molecule exist only the energy of the subsatance present and there is no substance or molecule present,
so that enegy belongs to that subtance. so it acts dynamically but not in the crude form.
the energy of the subtance that will acts on the nervous system and result in to the dynamic change in the nerve which has a action on each organ and system. but acton is of like crude subtance but in the dynamic form.
all the nerve centers r present in the brain and body has its funtastic mechanism to regulate properly.
any stimulant(substances, drugs, harmones, enzymes, any secretions) which stimulate the nerve creating sensation in the body which result in the action.i.e sensory----->motor----->sensory
we stimulate the motor nerve by giving the medicine but primarily we stimulate the tigeminal nerve(tongue)----->it send the stimuli to brain ----->medicine that we have given which locate the exact nerve where the action of medicine is depend. e.g nux vom (strychinine) stimulate vagus nerve which of GIT REGULATION.
what vagus does Regulation of secretion:
Gastric acid production is regulated by both the autonomic nervous system and several hormones. The parasympathetic nervous system, via the vagus nerve, and the hormone gastrin stimulate the parietal cell to produce gastric acid, both directly acting on parietal cells and indirectly, through the stimulation of the secretion of the hormone histamine from enterochromaffine-like cells (ECL). Vasoactive intestinal peptide, cholecystokinin, and secretin all inhibit production.
The production of gastric acid in the stomach is tightly regulated by positive regulators and negative feedback mechanisms. Four types of cells are involved in this process: parietal cells, G cells, D cells and enterochromaffine-like cells. Besides this, the endings of the vagus nerve (CN X) and the intramural nervous plexus in the digestive tract influence the secretion significantly.
Nerve endings in the stomach secrete two stimulatory neurotransmitters: acetylcholine and gastrin-releasing peptide. Their action is both direct on parietal cells and mediated through the secretion of gastrin from G cells and histamine from enterochromaffine-like cells. Gastrin acts on parietal cells directly and indirectly too, by stimulating the release of histamine.
The release of histamine is the most important positive regulation mechanism of the secretion of gastric acid in the stomach. Its release is stimulated by gastrin and acetylcholine and inhibited by somatostatin.
here strychinine not taking any part directly. thats why homoeoathic medicine has no side effects.
now by stimulating the vagus nerve it acts on the GIT system and it is natural stimulation so it is acting naturally.
so here what exactly strychinine doing only stimulation. natural mechanism is ready to take care of further process.
so kents says 'homoeopathic medicine are only stimulation patients himself going to cure'
homoeopathic medicne acting unconditionally means no condition to act.
there are more oppositions will develop but this is my oun study and observation.
at last i can say,
let the medicine acts by thier way we wants only cure by any means.
