I got both vaccines on Thursday. I was 9 weeks pregnant. I miscarried on Sunday. I was told by several doctors to get these vaccines. Now I wish I followed my gut feeling and not get them at ALL!

I was so ready to get the H1N1 vaccine last week and they were only giving them to pregnant women. I was 6 weeks along and got it and the next day I started cramping and miscarried. I already had two healthy pregnancies and never miscarried or had any problems. My doctors think I am crazy to think it was the H1N1 but if no one looks into this than other women will not know. I am so sorry that I got it.

I also received the H1N1 vaccination on October 22nd, 2009 and went into labor on October 25th, at 16 weeks pregnant and we just heard the heartbeat and everything was fine with my pregnancy on October 16th, 2009, then on October 28th my water broke then on October 29th, I delivered a stillborn baby boy, and no one can tell me why…Everyone wants to say it did not come from the shot but I believe it did. My baby was growing at the correct pace and everyone wants to brush off the vaccination. I say if you have the vaccination and suffer a miscarriage if they are able to perform an autopsy have it done.
November 3, 2009 at 4:34 pm(9) Connie says:
I also agree something needs to be done and looked more into with this vaccination because most women are being advised it’s just something that happens, but I also had two healthy children normal pregnancies and when I received this vaccination with my third pregnancy, my baby is gone. I received the H1N1 vaccine on October 16th and started experiencing cramping on the 22nd. I was nearly 17 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a stillborn baby boy on the 23rd. Like many of the other women here, the first thing I suspected was the H1N1 vaccine. I immediately asked a nurse at the hospital if that would have anything to do with it. Without hesitation, she told me “absolutely not.” I had reservations about getting the vaccine, but followed the advice of my long trusted family doctor. In a follow up appointment with my doctor 3 days after I lost my baby, I asked him if the vaccine would have had any adverse effects on my baby. He also said that it was not possible. I don’t believe that my doctor was necessarily lying to me, he was simply following the accepted practices and opinions of his field. I do, however, believe that as a nation, we are being lied to. This vaccine is NOT safe during pregnancy. There has not been enough testing done to determine this and there are far too many “coincidences” for this to be anything but a result of a vaccine that was hastily pushed into production and distribution in an effort to stop widespread panic. I have read so many stories in defense of the vaccine that will talk about how common miscarriages are, but I would challenge you to ask ANY health care professional how common second trimester miscarriages are. My baby was doing perfect developmentally and I had felt him move earlier that day. My heart goes out to all of you out there who have had to go through the same heartache and loss that I have had in the last couple of weeks. There is no reason that any woman or family should have to go through this. Get the word out to all of the pregnant women that you know. I know that if I had heard that women had been losing their babies shortly after they received the vaccine, I would have followed my gut and not gotten it myself. Maybe then Wyatt would have had a chance at life.
November 5, 2009 at 11:51 am(11) sue field says:
If you read the novatis or baxter pkg insert available on the web you will find that 1. there is not sufficient testing on pregnant women so they dont know how safe it is….its not recommended for children under 2 is not a fetus a child under 2? there is no conclusion on safety with breastfeeding…..
Md’s just want to scare the hell out of you for the 1% that can get very sick..If folks would just wash hands frequently, stay away from sick contacts as much as possible and take supplements and live a healthy way…you likely can avoid the flu altogether…
SOOOOO Sorry for your losses….my <3 breaks for you all
November 5, 2009 at 4:37 pm(12) jmstork says:
I think its a fluke that those of you who got the vaccine miscarried shortly after. There are many many pregnant women whose babies are developing normally with no problems yet they still lose the baby. My sister in law is one of these people…she had a normal and perfect pregnancy, but lost her baby at 31 weeks with no explanation of why. I say discuss your concerns with your doctor, do some research, and do what is right for you. I got the H1N1 vaccine…I’m 26 weeks pregnant, and everything is fine. I’m sorry for your losses, but don’t think the vaccine is to blame. I’d much rather get vaccinated than get sick and lose my baby that way.

November 5, 2009 at 6:00 pm(14) Anastasia says:
To “JMSTORK” I have to say to call these other examples “flukes” is irresponsible.
By my calculations based on the statistics from this page 8 out of the 10 women miscarried following the flu vaccine. That can’t be a fluke.
I am so glad that you were not one of those unfortunate women whose baby was fine one moment and gone the next but I just have to say that to disregard their concern is irresponsible and that’s what their doctors are doing.
The CDC tells us to get vaccinated and for what? Live a wellness lifestyle, eat healthy, exercise, build your immune system and stay away from people with flu symptoms and you’ll stay healthy.
This flu has hit so many people I know, my husband included, and yet my daughter and I have avoided it just fine…. without a vaccine.
Women who are pregnant are told to follow their instincts until they want to tell their doctor “no” about a vaccine, then it’s “You don’t know what’s best for you or your unborn child”. It’s all hogwash!!
November 5, 2009 at 6:13 pm(15) jmstork says:
I’m not disregarding the other women’s concerns. I too was leary of getting the vaccine until I did research and thoroughly discussed it with my doctors. The vaccine was the best decision for me…and I understand that it’s not for everyone. So there are 8 out of 10 on here who miscarried after having the vaccine, but I bet there are many more pregnant women who were completely fine after being given the vaccine but they just haven’t posted on here. I am terribly sorry to anyone who has lost their child, but I don’t believe that it’s the vaccine that is to blame.
I don’t typically get the flu shot each year, but with what has been going on and since I have small children in school who are exposed to others who may be sick, it was the right choice for me to get vaccinated to protect myself and my unborn child. It’s all a personal choice and I’m tired of people telling me that I was wrong for getting the vaccination…if it’s not for you then that’s fine, but it was what is right for me!

To “JMSTORK”
I think before you start posting your comments, you need to keep in mind what these women have just gone through. Oh, and be sure to THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS you did not experience what these expectant mothers have…. These poor women have lost a CHILD, and your insensitivity isn’t helping. But I would also suggest keeping a very close eye on your pregnancy. Do you recall the “Thalidomide Tragedy” that happened between 1957-61 before it was withdrawn? Those pregnant women thought they were doing everything they could to protect their children and so many of them gave birth to children with deformities. Obviously the medical system has advanced dramatically since 1961, however, looking back at the swine flu of ‘76 and the rush to vaccinate the world then, more people died of the vaccine than those who died of the flu itself. History (sadly) repeats itself, and this H1N1 Vaccine was so rushed that sufficient testing wasn’t done. There are many studies that show vaccines cause irreversible damage. Research the connections of vaccines with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Dystonia, Spinal cord and brain inflammation etc. It’s extremely terrifying what has happened to amazingly wonderful people who were only doing what they felt they needed to, to protect their family & children. Please, just be thankful nothing happened to you or your unborn child, and pray that when that baby is born, he or she is not going to experience any lifelong effects of your choice.
I agree with you, it is very much a personal choice. But in the future do not post comments suggesting the vaccine was NOT to blame for the tragic loss of these women when you cannot possibly know that as fact. You were simply one of the lucky ones.
November 5, 2009 at 7:12 pm(17) Beth says:
Too many women having miscarriages and still births after vaccines to say it is coincidence. The vaccine makers admit it was not tested on pregnant women. Then why they hell are they saying it’s safe? Vaccine companies are immune from legal liability, cannot be sued, because they and the government know their products are UNSAFE. PREGNANT SHOULD NOT BE GETTING VACCINATED BASED ON THE ENORMOUS READING I HAVE DONE THE PAST MONTH. It’s tragic these women are losing babies, just tragic. NO ONE SHOULD GET THIS UNTESTED VACCINE. NO ONE.
NO ONE IS HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURIES.
November 5, 2009 at 7:15 pm(18) ladylove says:
I’m sorry, I need to correct one of my statements made above. The “thalidomide tragedy” was not a vaccine, but rather a drug prescribed to help pregnant women with their morning sickness. I apologize for stating it incorrectly, but I hope this clears up what I was saying. Those women trusted their doctor when they were told it was safe and had no idea what they were putting into their body would harm their baby but so many gave birth to babies with deformities.
November 5, 2009 at 7:17 pm(19) Kasha says:
It is to be expected that some babies will survive the poisonous vaccine. But until they are all born it is hard to rule out whether they have been harmed. Vaccines have been hugely implicated in the skyrocketing cases of autism. Sometimes this is not known until the child is a few years old.

I’m sorry for your losses. We all want to identify patterns and connections when something goes wrong. It’s just in our DNA. I think all written here may or may not be right on — we don’t know enough about vaccines AND it’s a big jump to say that the vaccine caused a miscarriage. Reminder – miscarriages can happen whenever – regardless of past history, etc. Be gentle on yourselves and each other. Every mom is just trying to do what’s best for herself and her kiddos.

1,000 teens in Ireland reportedly fell extremely ill, one died, after h1n1 vaccine. Many reports of this around the world, yet our media is downplaying the dangerous side effects. Too many pregnant women losing babies. This experimental vaccine is proving far from safe.
November 5, 2009 at 9:13 pm(22) undecided says:
I am so sorry for all of your losses! I too have had miscarriages. Right now, I am pregnant and in my first trimester. I am undecided as to whether or not to get this vaccine. I am wondering if any of you know if the vaccine you got contained thimerosal? I was thinking of getting the thimerosal free version but after everything that has been happening, I’m not sure I even want that one!
November 5, 2009 at 9:21 pm(23) Beth says:
I’ve heard that the thirmasol free vaccine is hard to find and if the doctor says it’s thirmasol free, INSIST on reading the insert label! Many vaccine insert labels clearly read “not safe from pregnant women,” or “untested on pregnant women.” The media is scaring folks into getting this untested vaccine. I would absolutely NOT get it after all the above miscarriages. How very tragic that doctors are not intelligent enough to see the connection.

Reading about women in Philipines who had miscarriages after tentanus vaccine. They also become sterile. Surf the internet for this info. Vaccines have been known to cause miscarriages in the past.
November 5, 2009 at 10:38 pm(25) Natasha says:
To anyne who is reading this, please, when you go away to research the vaccine for yourself, DO NOT ONLY ASK THE MEDICAL profession. Please try to remember that this would be the equivalent of asking a burglar where the loot is at!
Medical professionals are paid huge bonuses by the pharmaceutical industry from the moment they enter university/med school.
If we were all well and healthy all the time (as my five person family are) how would they earn a living?
That may sound like a ridiculous question, but really, cui bono?
November 5, 2009 at 11:13 pm(26) Beth says:
For those of you who say you are “fine” after vaccine, that remains to be known until you birth your baby and see if it is autistic. There are 6 or 7 types of flu vaccines out there with varying levels of toxicity, with most inserts saying not safe for pregnant women.
November 5, 2009 at 11:33 pm(27) Tinkerbell says:
I agree with JMSTORK. What about all the pregnant women who are fine after receiving the flu shot? And to BETH, there are still no hard facts that show autism is caused by vaccines. What you believe is your opinion but it’s not fact.
November 5, 2009 at 11:44 pm(28) jmstork says:
THANK YOU Tinkerbell! I am in no way being unsympathetic to those who have lost a child, but you can’t state for a fact that it was the vaccine that caused the miscarriages…and I’m not stating for a fact that it wasn’t. I just know that there are plenty of women out there who have gotten the vaccine and are fine.
November 6, 2009 at 12:01 am(29) Questioning says:
Just because some women don’t experience a miscarriage doesn’t mean it can’t cause a miscarriage for others. The timing of these losses for all these women is too great to dismiss. It is very possible that the vaccine can be a danger to some or many but not all pregnancies. I am 23 weeks pregnant and am not getting vaccinated. I never get vaccinated and never get the flu, i eat well and take vitamins and probiotics. I would rather trust my body and my immune system than to ruin my immune system and my baby’s.

I work directly with autistic adults and have asked their family doctors as well as my own about this information. They were lost for words. They didn’t have any argument to contradict the research either. If you are willing, check it out. However, I know a few women who are too scared to read up on what could possibly happen and they ignore it.
I have asked so many questions regarding this flu vaccine, including “why are they giving it to pregnant women without proper testing?” But my BIGGEST questions is, “Why on earth would the drug companies be given legal immunity if they are SO sure it’s safe?” Again, I really wish for all the mothers easy births and happy, healthy, wonderful new babies!! But if at the time of birth you find there could be problems (neurological being the more predominant) there won’t be anyone to hold responsible for the damage… You can’t turn around and say, “But, the doctor told me it was safe!” The drug companies, government, doctors, nurses etc have LEAGAL IMMUNITY. This is frightening.

There are way too many miscarriages happening just days after vaccine. Think of how many more there must be that haven’t spoken up. Surf the net. Do your own research before trusting this multi-billion dollar industry that takes no legal responsibility for the many injured. These poor women with miscarriages have no legal recourse.

My sympathy goes to all the mothers who lost their babies after getting the H1N1 vaccine. Clearly the vaccine is not for everyone!!! it may work for some people but not for others. i just hope those doctors start to realize this and stop their madness by pushing all pregnant women to getting the vaccine assuring them it is safe when it is not. my wife’s obgyn has recommended the vaccine but when i asked her if it was 100% safe that she could not answer!! The health officials who are in conspiracy with the makers of this vaccine without doubt who made huge profits out of this madness have successfully created fear among people and make us think that without vaccine we will die if we get infected. I think the H1N1 vaccine is even deadlier than the flu itself!! During this challenging and confusing time, we should not forget that there is GOD who is most powerful to protect us from harm. we don’t need vaccines as we have a natural mechanism in our body our immune system to fight any flu viruses. Since we came to Canada in 2001, we didn’t have any flu shots! thankfully we haven’t got flu. We just took care of ourselves, stay calm as fear can weaken our immune system, get enough rest, take vitC, zinc, vitD3, beta glucan supplements, always have hand sanitizers in your pocket, always drink warm water during winter, drink fresh ginger tea with a teaspoon of honey syrup. My wife is now 30 weeks pregnant and will not be taking this vaccine as our gut feel tells us it is NOT SAFE even if doctors are recommending it!!!

Beth, in any other situation I would absolutely agree with you and say CALL ALAN PHILLIPS!!! But this is what disturbs me the most about the H1N1 Vaccine- The creators (and doctors, nurses, anyone who administers the vaccine) have LEGAL IMMUNITY! There will be no reparations for any loss or damage to fetus, infant, child, teen, woman or man because there is a LAW stating that no one will be held accountable.
Legal Immunity.
How terrifying is that?

I’m from a town of 2000 in SD, there are several women pregnant and we are all due within a few weeks of each other. Four of us got the H1N1 vaccine 2 weeks ago and one by one each of us started to have preterm contractions. We are all due in Nov and Dec so we are further along than most of the people that lost their babies. There is no way you can tell us that our preterm labor was not caused by the H1N1 vaccine. It may look like a “fluke” to some people when these women are scattered all over the country but we are talking about 4 of us in our small community. My heart goes out to all of you that lost your babies.

Yes, vaccine companies are immune from lawsuit and irresponsible, because they know their products injure and legislation was past to protect this billion dollar industry. However, I read of a fund available some place for those who are injured from vaccines. Many have been injured recently, worldwide, and not making it to the news. It’s worth talking to a vaccine attorney and DEFINITELY the media needs to be made aware. Ladies call your news stations so other women can be warned, and get a new doctor if he is not smart enough to see the connection.
